October 12 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm$25.00
Lulu’s Farm and the Adams County CSU Extension Office are excited to launch a series of classes on food safety and food preservation to help you maximize enjoyment of seasonal produce and the art of preserving.
Preserving Pumpkin: Preserving pumpkin in higher altitudes requires special considerations. This hands on class will cover the basic food safety guidelines regarding pumpkin, but is primarily focused on preparation for freezer preservation as an easier and less risky technique. Attendees will leave with pumpkin ready to safely freeze in a reusable, environmentally-friendly, airtight, silicone bag, and enjoy later. Class is limited to 15 participants.
Call (303) 659-3300 to register and pay the $25 class fee.
