July 6 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm$30
Lulu’s Farm and the Adams County CSU Extension Office are excited to launch a series of classes on food safety and food preservation to help you maximize enjoyment of seasonal produce and the art of preserving.
Making Sauerkraut (Repollo Curtido): Learn the science of the fermentation process, selecting quality ingredients, and proper salt concentration to produce a safe product. This hands-on workshop covers step-by-step instructions to make your own sauerkraut in a mason jar. Attendees will leave with a Mason jar of sauerkraut started, and the recipes, knowledge, and equipment needed to make more at home. Class is limited to 15 participants.
Call (303) 659-3300 to register and pay the $30 class fee. Advance registration is required, just clicking “going” on event listing does not count!
