Making Fresh Roasted Tomato Salsa
September 14 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm$15.00
Lulu’s Farm and the Adams County CSU Extension Office are excited to launch a series of classes on food safety and food preservation to help you maximize enjoyment of seasonal produce and the art of preserving.
Making Fresh Roasted Tomato Salsa: This participation-based class will introduce the basic principles and safety guidelines for making quick and easy fresh roasted tomato salsa that goes well with just about anything. For this class we’ll use tomatillos (and you’ll probably never want store bought salsa verde ever again!), but the process and recipe works equally well with red tomatoes. Attendees will receive a jar of the salsa verde to take home with them, with instructions on how to adapt it to delicious avocado salsa if desired. Class is limited to 15 participants.
Call (303) 659-3300 to register and pay the $15 class fee. Advance registration is required, just clicking “going” on event listing does not count!
Save the date! Classes in the series are Saturday mornings beginning at 10:30 and run three hours, unless otherwise noted, and limited to 12-15 participants depending upon the class.
