August 24 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm$25.00
Lulu’s Farm and the Adams County CSU Extension Office are excited to launch a series of classes on food safety and food preservation to help you maximize enjoyment of seasonal produce and the art of preserving.
Take advantage of the peach season to preserve them for your future pie filling. This hands-on workshop covers the basics on using the water bath canning process to preserve your peaches and the necessary sugar concentration for food safety. Attendees will leave with a jar of freshly canned peaches to enjoy later, and the knowledge and recipe to make more at home safely. Class is limited to 15 participants.
Call (303) 659-3300 to register and pay the $25 class fee. Advance registration is required, just clicking “going” on event listing does not count!
Save the date! Classes in the series are Saturday mornings beginning at 10:30 and run three hours, unless otherwise noted, and limited to 12-15 participants depending upon the class.
